Walk In Special MONDAYS at Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre

Today was the first day of the summer that I'm offering a Walk-In Special for Reflexology. And it was great! Although I had 3 clients booked today, there was still some gaps where I fit the 30 minute Reflexology sessions in.

Mondays are my Reflexology days at Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre on King street in Midland, and they are my Walk In days, too.

It was a very relaxing day at the Wellness Centre today, and it was nice to help some people relax and find some wellness after a long weekend. (Isn't it funny how long weekends can stress a body out?)

Heat Got you Cranky?

I am so thankful that my office is air conditioned. Seriously.

Can you imagine needing a blanket in this weather? The office is cool, and when you relax, your body temperature drops. I have soft blankets on hand, and fuzzy socks to keep your temperature level.

I know! It seems improbable, with the heat we've had the last few days. If you've been unable to relax, had a hard time sleeping, or felt just NOT like yourself these few days, come on in and see me. Reflexology has a magical way of clearing your thoughts and resetting the body.

Reflexology on Monday at Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre

It's May! And that means Mondays are now my Reflexology Health Works days! Reflexology on Mondays are the perfect way to destress for those of us who have to work weekends and are ready to relax. Monday Reflexology is a great way to start your work week from a relaxed and balanced place.

And, speaking of relaxed and balanced...

I finished my Reiki Levels 1, 2 and Master with Lisa Powers a few weeks ago, and am pleased to offer Reiki anytime with your Reflexology sessions, in Midland Ontario at Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre.

New Room for Reflexology in Midland Ontario

All moved in to my new room at Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre in Midland, Ontario.

I steam cleaned the floor in the new room (and the old) and the old room was painted. My NEW room was painted a few months ago, so there are no paint fumes to worry about.

This new room is the same size, but It FEELS so much bigger. I've not moved the table and chairs in that I used to have, and rearranged my room set up. All I have yet to do is get some photos of it! Clients that have come for a Reflexology Session in the new room have remarked the same thing.

I'm finding it a much more relaxed room to work in with the new colours on the walls, and with it feeling like a bigger room.

I'm always available on Thursdays, and occasionally on other days in the week, by appointment. Give the Midland office a call, to book your relaxing appoinment today.

News For March!

The "I Love You February" Reflexology special was a HIT!

As I write this, there are only 2 more spots left, both for Thursday February the 25th. I expect those to be filled before the weekend is through.

It was delightful to meet so many new people and introduce them to the benefits of Reflexology. I love hearing the stories of how it has helped them get better sleep, feel better in their bodies, and begin to retrain their bodies and minds to relax!

We're heading into March, and with that comes a few new exciting things for Reflexology in Midland.

First, March 11th, I'll be moving into a new room within Health Works Chiropractic and Wellness Centre. I'll still be on the second floor, but I'm moving into a room that was freshly painted in a wonderful calming blue and cream. It was painted about two months ago, so there will be zero fumes to worry about.

I'll be bringing some essential oils into the office, to mix in with an unscented foot lotion or oil for the massage at the end of your reflexology session. There will be a few different ones to choose from, depending on your preference. Essential oils have such wonderful effects on the body.

I will have available a small set of speakers for you to plug your ipod or phone into, to play your own relaxing music or playlist, while you have your Reflexology session. Just be sure you have more than an hour of music!

This chilly week has me searching for a warming pad to sit underneath you while you recline in the Reflexology chair. I'll keep you posted with how that search goes.

As always, I still offer the referral 'Thank You' of $10 towards your Reflexology session, when someone you've referred becomes a new client with me. You are free to use those immediately, or accumulate them.

Plus, the stamp card program is still running strong! When your card is filled with stamps from visits (or liking my facebook page!) you get a free session!

Headache, Migraine Relief Helpers.

So, FINALLY!
All the oils are in for the headache and migraine relief recipes that I wanted to throw together, as well as for the natural perfumes requested by some people.

I've mixed up a few different ones, and I'm going to test them out so I can provide some extra information about what sort of headache relief can be anticipated. After being mixed, they really need to sit for a bit anyway for maximum effect.

I'll be providing expiration dates. The essential oils themselves last for a year after being opened, before they really start to lose potency, but the carrier oils expire much faster after being exposed to air. With the little roller bottles in amber, they should last much longer, as they aren't being exposed to air every time you use it, only when I initially mix the recipes together.

Going to have to do some math on cost, for each recipe, as some oils are more expensive than others. My whole point of this excerise was to find some personal relief from  migraines and headaches naturally, but also to be able to make these available to others at an affordable amount.

These bottle are small - 3ml is what they hold. I wanted to start with smaller bottles to test everything out, and see how long they last. If there's any interest in larger quantities (if you are using it up faster.) then I will definetely get some 5ml bottles in.

Next after this is to create some muscle rubs and massage oils for muscle relaxation.
